Naydu was caught off guard when we discovered signs of periodontal infection at one of her routine dental appointments.
That’s because she was doing everything right… practicing good oral hygiene at home, visiting us regularly to have her teeth cleaned, and still, she found herself in need of gum disease treatment.
This situation is more common than you might think. Every patient comes to us with different needs, and some people are just more vulnerable to dental problems for reasons that could be entirely out of their control.
That’s why, in the spirit of Gum Disease Awareness Month, we want to remind you how important it is to visit us every six months for cleanings and exams so we can take quick action at the earliest signs of this insidious oral health threat.
